Dear Angela:

Today as we celebrate our daughter's five month birthday, and the finalization of the legal proceedings for the adoption this past Tuesday, we wanted to take the time to thank you and your terrific staff at Adoption and Family Support Services for all your help with our adoption. 

While we were overjoyed with the prospect of matching with a birthmother for the adoption, clearly we were apprehensive about the whole process, especially being in a different state and over 500 miles away from the birth hospital.  However, you, Edna, and Lisa took care of everything and held our hand during every step of the process – helping to make our dreams of being parents come true. 

From your very first call telling us we were selected to be adoptive parents, to being with us during our first meeting with the birthmother, the support you provided to the birthmother and being with both parties at the hospital, to ensuring all the paperwork was done afterward to move the legal proceedings forward, we couldn’t be happier with your caring, knowledge, diligence, and overall services.

More than anything, you and your staff provided an ear and reassurances that we needed throughout the entire process, from long phone calls before the birth, to helping us identify medical financing options as we approached the birth, and quickly getting paperwork processed by two states to minimize our stay out-of-state after the birth.  You even stayed on top of things after the birth and worked to ensure our home study and post-placement information was complete by a third party to ensure we had all of our information together for the legal proceedings to finalize the adoption.

Again, we can’t thank you and the entire staff enough!!   We are still on Cloud Nine finally being parents and we are amazed at how fast the five months have flown by.  Our daughter has brought us so much joy and is certainly our long-awaited blessing.  We would certainly like to consider adoption again, and should we be able to do that, we can only hope to work with your agency again or find another adoption agency that could come close to the high bar you have set for such a personal and heart wrenching process.

Corey & I could not say "Thank You" enough.  From the very first time I spoke with you on the phone, I could tell that you were a remarkable person.  You truly care about the children and families that you meet.  Because of you, Corey & I have Nathan and even though our situation sometimes proved challenging, you were always there.  You were never to busy to take the time out of your day to talk to me and made me feel like everything would work out and be okay (and trust me, I know I called you alot!).  You and your entire team mean the world to us!  We hope to work with you all again soon.

I just wanted to say hello and thank you for all your help during our home visit. You taught us so much that we didn't know and opened our eyes about alot of issues.

I also want to praise you for a little bit ... we were both somewhat nervous to have you come here for our visit, being we had no idea what to expect. We thought you were going to sit us down, ask us questions from the packet, and then leave. But you went above and beyond our expectations! You are amazing!  We expected someone to come here and simply do their job because that is what their job is. It touched us that we have a social worker that loves what she does and is so passionate about what you do. That goes a long way with us. We feel absolutely blessed that you are involved in this process we are going through and couldn't imagine a better person to be by our side through this. If it were up to me, you would be Auntie Angela ... I would be honored to have you in my child’s life.

I was touched that you had your assistant contact me and for her to offer her services to help us in starting a blog and such to document our journey.  First of all, I can't tell you how much that means to me that we left that much of an impression on you, and second of all, we are SUPER EXCITED to make it happen.

You have such a passion for what you do - building families. Your passion is contagious ... thank you again for being you ... you are absolutely amazing and I am blessed that you were brought into our lives. We look forward to building a relationship with you and hopefully helping others. We can't wait to see you again!!

I would just like to let you know that working with you and A&FSC has been nothing but a great and positive experience. From the day Rich & I met you at the Christian Adoption informational fair we felt an immediate connection. Our experience with the Home Study process went so smooth; you and your staff were there to help guide us through the paper work, letters and application process that we were so scared would be a nightmare.  Although our nerves and patience are at wits end praying and waiting to get that one phone call with news of a birth mom match, you and Pam have always been a positive reinforcement and keep our Faith alive. 

No matter what day or time it is whenever I have called Pam she has been readily available to listen to my stories, clarify any of our concerns and answer any questions we may have.  Although you all have been through this process with so many other families, your excitement, eagerness and love for your work shines through, you ladies are true Angels helping bring families a true gift from God!  We Have Faith that we will be sending you a picture soon with our precious gift.  Thank you and God Bless!
