Families for Orphan Act is a proposal before congress to reach out to other countries to help them develop their social service systems. It promotes reunification and adoption in hopes of limiting the number of children in institutional care. Call your representatives today; let's get this one passed!
We need to be kept informed of adoption scammers and unfortunately this is all to real . Knowledge and education is the key to stopping these individuals.

Welcome Back!
Can you believe it is 2010 already!! Weren’t we just hanging out the Jack-O-Lanterns? You have helped us make so many wonderful memories over the last few months that we cannot wait to share a few.
Our First Annual Adoption Celebration was a great success! Over sixty of you joined us for an afternoon that celebrated family. We had fabulous food, games for big and small, and who can forget those heavenly massages! It was such an honor for me to share the day with adoptive and birth families who have enriched my life as well as my career. I hope you all come back next year with a few new “little faces”!
We are especially proud of our new website. It has been a group effort (thank you Betsy & Lisa) and it is finally up and running. We designed the site with you in mind. Our goal is to inform and educate while we help guide you on the magical journey of adoption. Family is in our name and in our hearts. Most of the pictures you see in the website are of “Our Families”. Thank you all for your generous contributions. You are what make the Center special.
Adoption is made possible because of a birth parent! Please welcome the newest addition to the Center, “Placement from the Heart Support Group”. We could not be more excited to mentor this courageous group of women. The group hopes its positive outlook on placement spreads throughout the country.
Considering another adoption or have a friend who is interested? Check out our newly designed Adoptive Parent Toolbox. It has everything you need to locate your perfect match.
Trying to get healthier for the new year…so are we with “Resources for a Healthy You”. Visit this page often for new information, or become a “Fan” of our facebook and receive live tips on diet, exercise and much more!
Our "family" is growing! We would like to welcome Elisa Maffucci who came on-board to assist with daily office activities.
While our Agency has so many things to be grateful for, our hearts go out to the people of Haiti. As a world community, we are all showing our support in many ways. The Adoption & Family Support Center wants to do our part as well. When the Haitian government opens its doors to international placements we will support this effort by discounting our home study fees. When and if this time comes we hope you will join us in securing permanent homes for these deserving children.
